    Default German paddle hone

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to share with you my last found; a paddle with a german stone on it. The stone came in brocken and there is a long crack visible.
Not a very good deal, but I've glued the brocken piece and lapped the stone. It's flat and smooth even if it doesn't look like( where the break is).

Th stone is grey with light pink tasks(hard to show on pictures), it produces slurry easily, I'm thinking to a schwedenstein, what do you think?
It measures 160mm by 40. There is leather on the other side with a kind of red/marroon pasta.

The patchy look is characteristic for a Schwedenstein. Too bad they're always so thin, they make for nice finishers.

A pal here (Scipio? forget the SRP monicker now) had a small box affair some years ago with one of these on it - turned out to be a schwedenstein. Gave a lovely finish...

    Regards,
    Neil
