The funny thing is...you can have the best, coolest, most amazing hones in the world, or however you wish to refer to them, but in the end it all comes down to the person pushing steel across a stone. If you don't have the touch it won't make a difference

I agree but in general it is not impossible to learn honing, so there might be only some which do not have the touch...

And I agree with you But it's not the hone that makes the razor shave, but the person behind it No matter what exquisite hone you have in your arsenal, if you don't know how to use it..in the end it just turns out to be a rock.

Correct.....also did have to learn this...my first thuringian was a great stone...the first try out were not as good as i expected...so i did not really know how to use it at the beginning....
