I suspect subtle differences (or maybe not so subtle) in grind and temper from blade to blade make most of the differences we see. I have two TI's the SRP models and they are consecutively numbered yet not only do they feel entirely different but one hones up quick and easy and the other doesn't.

Thanked: 1936Sure will, I'm not afraid to play show and tale with anyone...actually I recommend folks sending razors to others to test edges. Razor swapping is fun. If jelajemi will cover shipping I will hone that W&B up on the shapton's through 16K and finish on Escher or G20 with a lil slurry, the edge will be nice and smooth...just like most quality English razors are.

Of course I'll pay for the shipping, that way I will know there is something else for me to learn, and at the same time I"ll know how it feels to shave with a wade&butcher. Please PM me, your address and I"ll mail you my straight razor. Thank you everybody for all your comments . I keep on learning and enjoying this art.
