    So I read this and get a bit excited! Why? Because I am a geology lepor, but a hone... Uh, want-to-be manufacturer!

    Don't tell me those two quality's don't mix. I know!

    Sure its a bit soft, but it's fine! What says you?

    My favourite was domerockite named after where it was found, Dome Rock. Creative naming huh ?

    also, 0.5 mm seems a bit large for the gritsize in the hone :P

    still nice to read that not only some rock deposits are undiscovered but even mineral types remain to be found

    After x ray defractors became widely used the identification of new minerals exploded. There's all kinds of stuff out there waiting to be discovered especially the microscopic stuff.

    As to names classically most minerals were named after the person who first described them. After that the location where they are first found is the second most popular scheme.
