I love the suehiro 6k, but as most say you could replace it with naniwa 5/8k and go faster.
I would add two more naturals: a yellow belgian and a fine thuringian.
I feel that some steels react better with the belgian and with some others I prefer the finish that I get from the thuringian.

note: modern thuringians are not as fine finishers as most vintage ones

    3. 1k Chosera Have this the King 1k and the Naniwa SS1k the Chosera and SS are my go to stones pending amount of work needed
    4. 6k White Suehiro No experience with it I jump to the Naniwa SS5K I have the 3K but don't use it
    5. 12k Naniwa Very good finisher sliding the 8k in the mix would help close the gap
    6. Zulu Grey Rough Cut (Enroute) Sounds like fun
Having said that I started with the King 1K and added the Naniwa SS1k and then the Chosera for bevel setting.
    Standard progression for me is
    • Chosera 1k
    • Naniwa SS 5k
    • Naniwa SS 8k
    • Naniwa SS 12K

and then CrOx and or .25 diamond if the fancy hits me,
although I will generally shave with it first before deciding on if I will use either of these.

The Naniwa SS 3/8 will serve you well especially if you do not care for the Suehiro.
Or throw the 8k in the mix and keep the Suehiro for a bit.
Another option is the Norton 4/8 but there is something to be said for staying with the same system.

Tough choice but at least there are a few solid options.

The only issue I see is the big jump between 6k and 12k, as others have said maybe slurry on the 12k or maybe a few laps on a barber hone between the 6k and 12k could close the gap in grit size

Personally my line up is 1K 4K 8K and then some naturals.
Oh yes, a big +1 from me on that.
I have honed my fair share of razors, and still find smaller steps both comfortable, fast and even more predictable as to the outcome.

Lol! Yeah straights are definitely taking my HAD to new heights. Next stop naturals!
