Im going to try a couple things. First more pressure and more laps lightening up on the stone and without the soap as from what ive read the soap helps to put a bearier between the hone and blade to keep the work lighter.and ill use some soap in the end. If this dont work within 50 la0s then i will go back to a lower grit and finish on the BH. I know this will work for sure.
I dont know what happened to this edge as it was a good shave the last time i used it. Maybe not perfect but it wasnt pulling. Now it feels like its been used another 10 shaves. Who knows. Ill get a good look at the edge before i start this test.
I will.report back but 8m afraid its just too far gone for just a simple BH. We will see. It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 246Now you see exactly why they recommend only making a few strokes on most barber hones. You have just experienced a wire edge - which can often shave great in the beginning but always fail pretty rapidly.
