Size:  46.1 KBI just picked up this cool hone used for DE blades. The leather on the wheels needs some oil and to be cleaned up, but I would imagine it would work alright otherwise!

    I've seen a few of these around. I thought they were put on leather hanging strops and run up and down.. I understood it to be a strop, however.hmmmmm... Love to see it in action. I guess I'll be out to the net to find a vid.

    Your correct it was a misprint. it is a strop. i think its called the stropper lol!

    Fascinating utility, all the same. I saw some vids out there. Worth a view to check out how the thing actually worked.

    I do have a DE hone. I haven't used it and I'm not sure how to properly, to be honest. I'd need to find a vid or info on that as I've just "finished" off one blade. I'm not sure how useful honing a DE blade will prove to be.

    They did make cradle-attachments for use with full-size leather strops. A special handle had the strop threaded through it and also held the straight razor and even flipped it over for you...
