Does anybody have any information on a carborundum razor hone that was made in Niagara Falls Canada, I seen one on Ebay but I missed the auction, it is the same as the one in the picture but says Canadian Carborundum Company

From the ratio of length to width, I would guess it to be a Carborundum 103 or 106. Both are fine maintenance hones. If you can provide the dimensions I can be of more help. Of course, the box does not guarantee what is inside so a photo of the hone would help too.

The 102 is 4"x1.5" and I would not have guessed those proportions from the photo.

That's because it's not the one in the picture, the one I found on Ebay ( but missed the auction) was similar only it said Canadian Carborundum Company and not The Carborundum Company

I have not seen the Canadian box before but I would assume the hone to be the same as any other 102. It is a very fine and hard barber hone. It is smaller than most but is adequate for the job of a barber hone, which is basic edge maintenance with just a few strokes.

It's the Canadian box that has me curious, this is the first I've seen,

Has Anybody else seen these boxes around?
