    Default identification de pierre

    hello
    I can not identify this stone the color greenish mud is not whitish it is just to bother me that she will rather green worm

    ( oops!)Looks like a Schwedenstein I have one similar and...it is a super fine finisher.
    I got the info form a long thread on another forum. Usually they are thinner but yu may have the queen's jewel!

    merci pour cette identification mais je n'avais pas pensé a une suedoise
    j'etais parti plutot sur une anglaise Charnley Forest ou une Llyn Idwal
    je pense qu'il est rare de trouver une pierre suedoise en france surtout à l'endroit où j'habite la campagne profonde de la france

    Although I don't think I have ever disagreed with Richard in any of his posts, I'm not sure if this is a Swedenstein. There is limited information about those stones, but that's about how they look like


    Darker, and usually with even darker patches and thick lines that run across the stone. And the stones were very thin indeed because the vein from the quarry was itself very thin.
    Also, I'm not sure if the Swedensteins were indeed mined in Sweden, and, it definitely isn't a Charnley forest or Llyn Idwal stone.
    After that, I don't know. Maybe a light colored Thuringian? It's not difficult to find them in France.

    Maybe you should retake some picture in a brighter light.

    My guess was for a Charnley Forrest
