The photo with the label is a true Thuri not mine nor the stone I bought. I don't put a lot of faith in eBay pics cause often lighting makes things appear completely different also lapping off gunk can drastically change a stones appearance. You guys may be right though and this is a major bust, but until it arrives I'm holding my breath. I bought a stone of the bay that appeared brown in pictures but when it arrived it was a dull grey blue. It has turned out to be a great finisher and possibly the Thuri it was advertised as.
Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!

Id looked at the stone on ebay and remember the busted box, it had been listed for a week or two. Hope its a big fat thuringian for ya! The pics didnt look like one so I took a pass.

Yeah the guy had a ludicrous price. As if its old people will pay three figures for anything. Ha I didn't know it was listed so long and I was surprised he took a best offer far below bin.

A lot of the time they price stuff so high that I figure people don't even bother with an offer.

Well it's in and no dice... I have no idea what it is but definitely used with oil.

Wow, looks way different than expected, give us pics dry and with slurry, its way lighter than I would have thought and is that brown or more purple in person

It looks natural to me and brownish with red and black dots.
Very white creamy slurry.Razor rich, but money poor. I should have diversified into Eschers!
