Thanked: 4249Great post Dennis, the price of Swaty vs Eschers is very interesting, i posted a similar page a while back and the Swaty was 60 cents vs the Escher at 75 cents in the early 1900's.

We need a page to post only catalog hone pages so we can gather retail info into one area as a sticky.

Thanked: 459Wow...look at the difference between the old rock coticule and the genuine belgian coticule and the y/g escher.
The old rock and y/g escher are $1.50, and the "genuine belgian hone" is $6 for roughly the same size!!
Notice the #00 frictionite is twice as much as an old rock coti.
A friend of mine bought a bunch of frictionites in the 70s, and between the time this catalog was made and the time he bought his stones (directly from am hone), he paid $6 for each #00 in the 70s. Hardly any increase in price, and a significant decrease if you consider inflation.

I have a T Noonan vintage razor, pretty nice shape and actually no patina or stains but a little frown ( not much) It laid in the drawer for months and one day I tried to shave with it? I was blown away by the quality of the shave
