Thanked: 246Alex, glad to hear it worked for you... Make sure to share the "chisel trick" with others next time you see someone thinking a Charnley, Arkansas PHIG or other similar hard stone is a piece of junk because they haven't prepped it correctly! Happy honing!

Thanked: 246Good for you! Many people don't though, which is why every time I share stone prep info I also ask others to share the info. I can't even count the number of times I have seen people post that Arks and CF stones etc. are too coarse or leave too harsh of a finish to be used on a razor.

Thank you ! I will surely share the info with the others....the strange for me, that when I've searched after info for the charnley didn't find too much info about the stone, and nothing from the chisel....
