Default Has anyone ever used this or tried at least?

I am trying to get a finish hone and I don't have a lot of money can anyone tell me if this is any good or not the seller has great feed back and the reviews seem to be good on it but I thought I would ask the experts.

    Hundreds of us do

that is the infamous Chinese 12k, PHIG, Cnat, Guangxi Hone

Many names for the same Natural hone yanked from the ground in Guangxi Province in China

Like most naturals the differ in performance between one and another

They are sometimes available locally if you are near a Woodcraft store or a Rockler

One of the vendors on SRP carries slurry stones for the C12k...just an FYI
I have one of these hones and I think I landed a decent one, high stroke count is needed or least mine does, 100-150 but I think that's pretty normal for a natural in my experience,.

Got one, managed to get a good one from Woodcraft. Good finishing stone but takes a lot of strokes but worth it.

First stone I bought. Lots of strokes as mentioned but that helped me learn the patience I lacked when honing.

So I bit the bullet and pick up both the 2k and the 12k. I contacted the seller and he tells me I do not need a slurry stone, any feedback on this as I have never used a 12k natural before. The only one I own is my stainless finishing glass stone and it is a 30k. Thanks guys for all the advice.
