The Ebay cupboard seems to be a bit bare when it comes to diamond plates, unless I'm a bit askew with my search parameters.

    SK11 Diamond Plate S Grit 400 | eBay - 400 grit E-Value Diamond Plate S Grit 1000 | eBay - 1k grit

Are they the kind of diamond plate I should be looking for?

I didn't get too much time to take a look around so I've still got a Google task to look around and find the best deals on the stones recommended.

    Thanks

I would recommend the Norton 220/1000K. The 220 grit isn't normally recommended for razor, but if you are repairing chips this grit works great. The 1K will take care of small chips, but anything bigger than a 16th you're going to want the 220grit.

400/1000 DMD Double Sided Diamond Professional Knife Sharpening Stone Sharpener | eBay

A 400/1000 diamond plate from an Australian company with a stone holder. Works out at about £54 including delivery to the UK.

As I know nothing about diamond plates and the good ones from eBay, what are people's thoughts on this one?

    Naniwa 1k is about £42.
Norton 220/1k is about £40 but OOS.
    Shapton M5 ceramic(?) Is £45.

I think it might be easier to put the names in a hat and pull one out

I disagree. While the Norton 1k (not 1000k) is an acceptable bevel setter, there are better options. The most notable is the naniwa chosera 1k. The Norton 220 is borderline useless. Yes it is a lower grit but it makes a muddy mess and cuts slowly while doing it. It is not a viable repair hone for razors.
