    Default Belgian Coticule Information

Hey all, I was just wondering what the difference between blue Coticule and yellow Coticule was. I've only ever seen yellow Coticule used so I was curious. I am a fan of the yellow Coticule so if anyone knows of a good place to purchase them could you please let me know, Canadian places would be preferable because I live in Canada but I'll be good with anywhere. Thanks a lot.

As a general rule, the yellow side has smaller and more numerous garnets in it. Though the garnets on the BBW side are larger, the lower concentration makes it a slower cutter.

Best place to purchase is directly from Ardennes coticule. They are the only and sole miners of coticules and belgian blue whetstones today.

If you talk or email directly with the owner Maurice Celis you can also express your wishes, what kind of coti or belgian blue you need or want concerning size, fineness and sharpening speed.

simple, translation, scroll down until yo see thumbnail pics, then below them you see a download link for English. a lot of good info in these books, the 4th in the series is on coticules. now when you download the English version you wont have to understand Dutch or French. enjoy bos wont be doing anymore and he will be missed.

I don't speak dutch neither. As kn4wd said, you just have to scroll.
