Hirlau - whether it's bullshine or not, it's not Dickerydee's bullshine. The comments come from a well reasearched and presented paper/blog that was featured on the site a few days ago. I can't find the link but it is well worth reading and you will like it because it has fantastic close-up images.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

We have over the years distilled information down to help people enjoy this hobby as much as possible using tried and proved methods.
If you need to adjust those methods to suit your individuality so be it we all do to an extent..
The idea that unless you can get a good solid shave off the 8k level first before buying finishers is there to try and save Newbs a ton of wasted money chasing an edge that their skills cannot attain..
Simple really
