Thanked: 580That is a good price. Mine actually says Hitachi, not Makita, and it is quite old, but never used when I got it. Pretty sure that is a King that you have. I have the large King 1000 grit for a bevel setter.

Thanked: 3215“I have wondered about the Nubatama Euclid. Have you used the chosera stones? I've been wanting to know how they stack up to each other.”
Yes, I have used a 1k Chosera for years and it was my favorite… I have a Norton, Naniwa Super Stone, King and Chosera 1K and now the Nubatama, the Chosera was my favorite until it got the Nubatama.
Been using it since the December and it is quickly becoming my new favorite.
It is hard fast and dead flat and looks very, very cool.
I do like the feel of the Chosera but right now, I’d buy the Nubatama over the Chosera… and they are 60 bucks.
I originally bought it as a knife stone, but have been putting razors on it and love it.
It can sharpen knives though it has only seen 3, may have to buy another…

I love the way they look, almost like a natural. I just never heard about any razor guys using them, so I passed them over when I was 1k shopping.
I'm definately going to try one once my chosera gets beat up enough to justify the purchase.
