Thanked: 4So the stone arrived the other day. Heavy dude. I like it.
Here is a question though. Keep in mind I still plan on lapping this stone, but would the edges have been rounded off to prevent blade damage if the stone wasn't already lapped? This stone looks as if someone already flattened it and rounded the edges.

Thanked: 4After looking at the stone again I can see machine marks so it definitely wasn't lapped by hand. It's not good enough to use I don't think. I just thought it was weird that the edges were rounded off because I would have figured they would have been squared.

Don't forget to chamfer/round off the ends, as well, not only the sides.. Safety first
btw- love the extra floor protection. Safety first!
