It's a pity that only the tiny ones are nowadays around, and even them are rare.

There is one on the Bay right now. There is either a deep scratch or much worse a crack on the bottom side. A scratch is no problem...perhaps Vasilis could give an opinion. I expect this to go through the roof anyway otherwise I would have kept my mouth shut.

Thank you WW243, but I'm by no means an expert on stones, it's just HAD, and I really really like the "hones" subforum.
Indeed, a big stone appeared! And the price will go though the roof.
It's a natural stone, there are people who found some great Lune stones, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't live up to your expectations. So far I only recognize the Escher and legitimate Nakayama maruka stones as guaranteed quality.
A strange thing about this seller, he sold more than 4-5 La lune stones in a couple of months. How many does he have? Assuming that his "lower" grades are sold first, I'm thinking about asking him when will he sell his last one. I might take a loan to bid on that one. Or sell a kidney or two. How many of them do we have?

Vasillis he might be a "Hone" collector from some french sites or fleamarkets....the stones arent "that" rare because they appear regularly. I mean 2-4 times a month, in the beginning they were sold quite cheap and actually a lot of people know how the price changed and buy and sell them....

I got this Special Stone last month, its in 18x4x2cm

If we are talking about this big "for special razors only" or something like that, stone, I don't think there is some serious flaw with it from what I saw. But the people interested in them... That's a problem. So, let's all assume that it isn't worth even the shipping because of it's condition.

I don't understand 'the people interested in them' being 'a problem.' Can you elaborate?
For the record I would have liked very much to use the two natural hones you mentioned above, especially the Escher. But they are above my pay grade and I now have an excellent series of synthetic hones with the SG 20k my finisher. I have no intention of acquiring more hones, probably no more razors either. This is not some proclamation it is simple math and something called fixed income.
