Size: 19.0 KBDoes any one know anything about this stone. I'm thinking of buying it. Wonder if I should go for it or should I spend a little bit more and get a good one from SRD. I know you get what you pay for.

Spend a little more to get a full sized stone made in japan rather than a small sized stone made in china.

I had a version of that, it looks like the "uusharp" stones and the same base style, etc. That stone by color looks like red aluminum oxide abrasive on one side and white alundum on the other.

Mine was so soft that when you picked it up, it left grit on your fingers and then when you used it, it was a muddy mess. Admittedly, I never did use it on a razor, just tools, and threw it away. They are smaller than they look in the pictures, too.

Give the chinese a couple of more years to figure out how to get the binder right, they make them way too soft right now.

That looks like a Taidea almost. I think all the ones that look like this are coming out of China and made by the same manufacturer

For 34 35 Dolars you will get Suehiro 1000 3000 shiped . The red or green side or this chineese stones is softer q the white side is ok for me - they cut fast , and dont make mess . If you insist on thoose get separately 1000 and 3000 white stones .
I have try them and i value them higher that a King 6000 witch is completely diferent animal from the amazing 1200 Deluxe .

You would be $ and heartache ahead to stick with the big three: Naniwa, Norton, Shapton.

That stone would make a great paper weight or paver.
