    I found an old ad in my files from 1938, it states the foundation of the company to 1906:
    Name:  fass6.jpg
Views: 274
Size:  16.4 KB
    Fassbinder &Co was still in business until 1950, refer to a Leipzig Exhibition catalog from 1950.

    I think it is probably much more likely that the F & Co. was Faßbinder & Conscience...I wouldn't think German companies of that period (1906) would have used English abbreviations. It's obvious the partner named Conscience was an important part of the team if he took over as director only 3 years after the company was formed.

    I now can assure you that it was F&Co. In the meaning Fassbinder & Compagnie...and not meant as Fassbinder & Consience....as i mentioned it it was my first idea...

    I will add more content, which i already know, when i got the permission to do so ;-)

    I can tell you for sure that it's a great hone. I still can't tell if Dark Blue or Blue/Green.
