Thanked: 4828If your razor is in good shape you could in theory maintain it for a very substantial time. A long time member here sends his out once a year and just touches them up in the meantime.
Anything 8K or above can perform that task.It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Yes. A 12k with a proper interval of touch ups could keep a razor shaving for years. You could use an 8k but most find shaves nicer from around 10k up.
