Default Which vein is this coticule from (best guess)

Hi everyone, just wanted to see if anyone cares to guess which vein this coticule comes from. I realize that without having it sent straight from the mine it is impossible to know for sure, but there is a wealth of knowledge and experience here that may have an idea. I have been told that this coticule is "very fast on slurry". It does not auto slurry and it puts a very nice edge on a razor. I have some pictures that my help as well. I'm going to post this on B&B as well.

Wow. All coti and no backer. It is kind of an impressive looking piece of rock.

Unless we know it comes from the last Ardennes mine, it's going to be hard to ID.

I don't know much about what they're mining at the new mine, but if this was from the older one it could be a La Dressante. The pink blush on the one side sort of points that way.

Ask over at Coticule.be - they still offer help on their forum.

Yes, I posted it on Coticule.be. Hopefully someone can make a good guess for me. I think from what I have found it is either a La Dressante or a La Petite Blanche. Like you say hard to tell but there is such a wealth of knowledge of these forums that sometimes a member can say "I have one just like it and it was a...or I remember seeing one very similar that was...".

Try www.coticule.be/clinic.html. You'll need to register as a user before being able to ask anything. Also, it's a helpdesk, not an active forum as such.

Do read this before asking about layer determination.

Be patient too, I have had a post there for some time without a reply. Lots of knowledge with the guys who frequent that sight. I hope they can help me out too.
