There is a seller that seems to have an unlimited number of boxed/labeled thuringians including eschers.
Sad really. Anything to make a buck...

little off topic, but the bay has been blowing up the Escher prices. There is a Gem sized Light Green the bid is sitting at $1525.00 with 5 days to go...

It literally just got retracted... If that were my listing that person would be on my blocked bidder list so fast....

This is a thing I have noticed in the last 15 months or so because it happened to me 4x on high end stuff. I put on a high max bid early, the clown(not this one necessarily but a clown) maxes with some completely insane number they have no intention of honoring just to expose my max, retract near the end and re bid beneath me. I made every last one of them cancel my bids.. Infuriating.

Yeah not fair to the highest bidder. He got exposed and now if he doesn't cancel he is basically at the mercy of anyone who wants to mess with him.
One of the reasons I only snipe at this point.

Seems like it's a hobby for him/her. Bid and retract. Mess with the seller/buyer. Weird people out there.

It's probably a person sitting on a pile of stuff who is trying to get rough valuations by being a slime
