Actually the seller got the measurements wrong it's 17,5×4,2 and yes a thick layer.

Sweet score. I'm always on the lookout for dirty stones in hopes they are a coti. I want a larger one because the one I have now is a 5x2. There is a nice hybrid on ebay, but I can't afford it
