    Looks familiar!

    Cheapest stone in the bunch does the best work (figuring that you can get a prime piece of dan's black or trans in 8x2 and a half inch thick for about $70).

    Agree with the above, the pictures show what comes back to the camera in light, and sometimes they don't tell the same story as the shave.

    Everybody seems to like the black translucent Arkansas stones, I just received a 6*2 one, I started to flatten it out and it's hard as the light translucent I hope it performance is the same because I paid only 30$ for it. I very excited to try it and see the results.

    As for the toothy edge, proper stropping can reduce it harshness.
