The one is a big natural bout of the finest and hardest Turkey oil stone or Cretan hone .

None of them is a Cretan or Turkey, they classic type of stone. For the smaller stone, I have seen its type somewhere, try it and see how it fits on your progression.

Well, I don't think I can use either of those hones, even though they look great. That green color makes me think they may have kryptonite in them.

CF or Charnley Forest is the big one, the smaller one just reminds me on scythe type stone...

I know that youre picture colorbalance is mostly not correct so there is a bit of unsecure...

Guys , guys please , first of all i am a newbe pfotographer . second , what the .... , will a raw chunk of used chanley Forest , do in bulgaria fleamarket . The history remember many cretans on a raw pieces and mounted on a wood bases , but Charnwood - never .the stone is for shure a novaculite so if the chanley is not omparable with our geografic attitude , the Cretan is the only option left . There were many other rew bouts ive seem here in Bulgaria .
Anyway , if this is a Chanly , i will be the happyest persone . the stone is in fact very fine and hard , unlike any other cretan ive try and seen .
third , what is shiste stone , it is a good midle stone in fact .
And in the last place q there is a little green still , but i think better now .
Any light , exept from the lightning makes the cryptonite effect .
Now from thr begining q the 2 new stones and one C 12 K q for color comparition

Next to my heavy soaked in oil cretan hone . The cretan looks very similar in the begining , but is much porous stone , drinks oil like camel in the desert . This one is slightly porous , if not , i dont know .Diferent strata , layer .
I play with it and it realy gives 10 11 k levell edge on oil , ive never seen such stone , works very good as finisher . Even makes my GD lab mouse sharp as hell .
    Intresting

Yes Vasilis is a respectable member and for shure , he have been seen , more cretans than me . The stone realy is much harder from the other cretans ive touch . It gives much better edge also . So what is this animal then , i dont think its Chanley , it doesnt have red in the stone . its a very good finishing stone for shure and gives agresive sharpness .
