Default Just got my second Coti

Got my second Coti, a La Veinette. It is a remarkable little rock. Used the unicot method for the first time and made short work of this Challenge razor. I had doubts about my ability using one stone from start to finish but damned if I didn't pull it off. These stones are incredible. If you're thinking about getting a Coticule, do it. I know I'm hooked.

Very nice stone. How hard is it? I've only had one LV from the new quarry and it was a little on the soft side.

Where did you get the stone at? I am looking for one about 2x6 in size but can't spend too much on it.

i bought it off an individual on a Facebook group page. I saw some on this website though- Razor Honing Stones – Griffith Shaving Goods and they all seem very reasonably priced. I've never dealt with this vendor though so I can't vouch for them but they do have some good looking stones.

Nice looking stone! I have been craving one for awhile but haven't pulled the trigger yet. You might have pushed me over the edge!

Surmike , you might want to stick with synthetics till you learn how to gone, start with a finisher and learn to maintain, you may not even need to go any lower than that if you do a good job, I've got razors that haven't seen a stone less than 8 k for quite a while and then I send them out if it needs more But start with something that will give you consistent results instead of trying to figure out a natural to begin with. Just my opinion. Tc

Try the superior shave he has a good selection and reasonable prices and is very helpful. I asked a lot of questions and he answered them all and great to deal with.

Yes the superior shave is well, truly superior. I got my first coti from them and the service was unparalleled. I highly recommend them. I recommended the other vender because I thought SirMike meant he was looking for a La Veinette specifically and I didn't notice any on the superior shave but did on the Griffith site. At any rate SirMike, I hope you find the stone you're looking for
