Thanked: 40Norton Trojan Hone
This was waiting for me when I got home today.
I don’t really have much interest in barbers hones as I like my edges finer than the approx. 8k most of them seem to get rated around, besides I have a Norton 8K water stone if I really feel the need for that type of edge.
After reading MODINE’s review of this one (where he rated it comparable to the Norton duel grit hone) I couldn’t help but satisfy my curiosity.
It’s in pretty good shape (sans literature) with both sides flat and smooth, so I’ll give it a good test before I consider lapping it.
I spent a couple of hours on the weekend touching up the razors in my rotation, so I don’t “need” to use the hone just yet, but I have a feeling one of the razors will see the stone sooner rather than later.

Thanked: 458Nobody with anything else about this one? Looks like a normal aluminum oxide hone, but I'd be curious to know what you find about it - like is it fine enough that you can't really overhone with it?
