Is this a thuringian?
I picked this hone up a while back for $15 thinking it may be a thuringian. Its blue-grayish when dry and makes a grey slurry just like a smaller thuringian I have. Just started lapping it so it's not quite as slick as my other one. Also it has a greenish and brownish vein running thru it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanked: 98Clearer pics would help, are you sure it is not man made? Give the dimensions might help the experts Identify it.

Thanked: 3215Photo the sides and ends, is it soft? What are you making the slurry with?

Sorry about the blurry pictures. Need a camera. Dimensions are 7 1/2 x 1 9/16 x 3/4.
Honestly, I'm not positive its not a man made stone. To me it just looked and felt like my thuringian so I took a chance on it. Even if it's not ill lap it flat and try it out.
Oh yea, I made the slurry with a fine diamond plate.

Thanked: 32The dimensions are right, and the saw marks look right to me. Something looks off in the first pictures but I'm guessing that's just the lighting?
