    Shapton for me, a little faster and harder. Disclaimer: I actually use the Shapton Pro 2k, not the 1k.

    I like hones that do not load when honing, and the two you mentioned tend to load fairly quickly. IMHO make the investment in a Chosera 1k and you will be really happy for many years to come.
    One more hone to look into is the 1k Specialty Naniwa hone. According to Lynn those are very good, contact him and ask I am sure he will steer you in the right direction for your needs.

    Thanks I looked into it it and bought the 1k Specialty Naniwa. Lynn did a nice write up for it and I'm not spending 80 bucks.
