Agreed while beautiful to gaze at it is not necessary. One could drive himself crazy lusting after all the stones he does not possess. I used to get so focused on what others had I didn't take the time to enjoy what was in front of my eyes.
I'm a believer that your stone picks you. If it were meant to be you would have it. I have many stones that "picked" me. Using them is a treat to.
Then again HAD flares up and a common side effect is the "need" for more stones!
FAL you'll get yours one day don't you worry

Lol - do any of us need more than one razor, one brush, amd one soap? I would propose the idea that if we all adhered to the minimalist philosophy, SRP would be a pretty dull place! It is our passion for the better experience of wet shaving and exploring how good it can be that makes us a community.
Cheers, Steve

Thanked: 98Well Gent's, I have 0ne coticule an La Veinette and am still working with it, the last on my list is a fair sized THURINGIAN, which I will not buy off Ebay, only from a Gent here who might have a Good one for sale. Feel free to PM me.
Hatzicho is right, the cool factor of the old W+B etc is not worth the $$ the average Ebay ripp off artist displays for 200 + $$.

Thanked: 169If you want a wedge grind, and I stress wedge, anything under 13/16 handles really funky. But you can get a lot of really nice bigger blades for cheap on the bay.. You'll never go poor buying a reynolds or wostenholm... wostenholms are by and large better than butchers blade for blade anyway, imo. What is scaring you off, prices on thuris or gambling on unlabeled ones and getting something else? I am sure someone here can hook you up.
