    I wouldn't get excited about an irregular shaped karasu for razors
    nun2sharp, Steve56 and furious like this.

    Yeah I think it was the shape that was uninviting. That stone has been up for a while.

    Shape was difficult for western razors but ok for kamisori
    Karasu also is like Kiita.
    It's uncommon that it makes a good razor stone so those in the know would be hesitant unless the seller was trustworthy & happy to give a refund.

    In addition to the shape, $25 shipping and overseas location might turn away buyers... I know I avoid it unless i don't have a choice due to the potential loss factor.

    I couldn't possibly house a 7 foot stone with all my other stones. They'd get picked on.

    That was my thought as well when I saw the title. But why not carve it up and resell? I could get a lot of hones out of a 25 sqft stone!

    Most of his hones end rather low, his descriptions aren't always accurate. I guess that is the problem.
