    Default Not sure this is a hone or not - could be for reg knives

    Hey guys, newb here and I have this stone. Not sure if this is something I should keep around for when I get my razor or not. Would you guys mind telling me what you think?

    I believe that would be more suited to knives and tools. Plane blades, chisels and such.

    Personally I think you should lap it before you decide. I've seen stones that look to be around the 100- 200 grit range and ended up being around the 1k range after lapping. Pluse you never know when you'll need a stone.
