When buying expensive Gun parts, We gun nuts sometimes do a group buy to save $, so who would be interested in the Suehiro 20K Gokumyo stone to own?

Maybe before this goes far, you might want to contact the vendor and ask if this is an option. Otherwise this is moot.

To be clear, I think this is a perfectly fine idea, even if I do already have my 20k.

I think you need permission from SRP to use the site for an activity like this also. NOT sure but I would check.

Honestly, after owning one and then selling it. PM jnats and get a jnat for the same price. Your face will thank you for it.

Well Prodigy, I was thinking about using a Nagura of super fine finish quality to work with the Vermio finisher that I got from Vasilis. Maybe Jnats would tell the best to get.

It's worth at least looking into. From what I've seen, he might even loan our a stone just to see if it's something you'd like. Garret is a great guy and his only mission in selling stones is making sure the buyer is 100% satisfied. Good luck either way you choose to go.

I've thought about the 20k, but it essentially makes my Escher's obsolete I would think, and I've read that old Sheffield steel just may not be able to handle such a crisp edge, steel just isn't up to it.....
