To point that out in detail...i dont think so!
If you ever owned one of the fine razor hones in blue metallic or purple bronze type you can make out the difference quite easy...also you would see typical sawmarks...
I can add some shots later if you want to...
La Lune was in General a Trademark...so they sold different types of stones. What i know is that coarser stones for scythes have been sold also from Saurat...
Also stones from a today unknown company with the Trademark / Name Pierre aux Croissants sold stamped stones from this type you showed...

Interesting here is the stamp extra fine and that this is a Pierre Naturelle de Saurat.NSo the qualities being quarried seem to be different....Last edited by doorsch; 02-10-2016 at 04:21 PM.
