    Default Mysterious green stone.

    Any idea what it might be? On slurry it leaves the edge like sandblasted, no visible scratches.

    Looks like a Llyn Idwal to me, the flaking and coloration looks typical to me....

    It looks like a very fine grit stone. Is it fine enough to shave off of or do you have to move on to another finer finishing stone?

    It depends, it actually can be used with thick slurry and water there it will be quite fast. It also can be used with water glycerine/water mixture or oil which might refine the edge a bit more....it depends how you want to use youre stone in future...

    These extensive flakes are very typical for frankonian hones too, also the spots and inclusions. Here are some examples for comparison.
