Mysterious green stone.
Any idea what it might be? On slurry it leaves the edge like sandblasted, no visible scratches.

It looks like a very fine grit stone. Is it fine enough to shave off of or do you have to move on to another finer finishing stone?

Mysterious green stone.
It depends, it actually can be used with thick slurry and water there it will be quite fast. It also can be used with water glycerine/water mixture or oil which might refine the edge a bit more....it depends how you want to use youre stone in future...
Here are some pics of one of my Idwals:

Mysterious green stone.
Llyn Idwal stones often shows this flakes as the Frankonians do...thanks Peter for showing those here...
Actually i believe the Idwall stones show a much richer appearance in terms of a pattern or smaller more dark green to blue dots....
Just to show some examples...███▓▒░░.RAZORLOVESTONES.░░▒▓███

Ok. Here's some photos. Ignore chipping on the edge on last two pictures. Gold Dollar factory edge
I just wanted to show how the scratches looks like when honing on slurry.
