Thread: First JNat came today. What may I have?

    There are many jnat experts around that will likely chime in. That was definitely a gamble though, so I hope it works out. Have you tested it yet? I just picked up a nakayama maruka asagi. Its coming form russia so itll be a long wait until i can play with it.

    From the pictures the stone does not look like a suita. I do not see the layered structure typical for those stones.
    The surface however resembles a suita somewhat, hard to tell from the pics.
    Hopefully it is a good finisher for razors.

    Wow - we were bidding against each other! Congrats - I bought several of this seller's stones (from Russia).

    I must have found this one after the seller sold the others as this was all he had left. Must have had some nice stuff. Never saw the measurements but it is pretty large at 8". Have to test it out soon. In looking at others for sale it does resemble the suita the most. I will post some side pics too.

    Does anyone know what area of Japan these stones come from? My wife was born on an Air Force base on the island of Kyushu & we want to go visit there some day. I would like to pick up some Jnats while in country & mabye a razor or three while there.
