Agreed - I'm positive one of my Eschers is either just Y or Y/G, and I've been toying with the S20 for awhile now...but from 20 back to finish on an Escher seems to far a jump back...thinking it would be pointless to go for the 20k stone...

I would guess that I use a dark blue Escher for a final polishing the most. Cuts fairly fast and leaves a nice finish. That after a Coticule, fine Dragon's tongue, or 8k Norton or 6K King. I have and use a YG and the darker colors when I feel like it. A Charnley or a Schwedenstine work for a very high polish.
I hone now mostly for fun. Natural stones of any name seem to have one that works better than a twin of the same name..

Would love to have a 12" X 2" Charnley with all the pretty colors.
A La Vienette coticule would be my grail. It would sit nicely in my collection beside all the other veins I've acquired.
A barber's delight Escher would probably be number 1 on my list to get my hands on or a 10" Escher.
This is my holy grail stone. 8x2 Les Latneuses mined at Ol Preu.
That stone is magnificent.
