I always wanted to try a coticule but I'm too cheap to pop for one, being something unknown. ..
Choose wisely....I got one, it's called Norton 4/8 . I may not get polished to 40k, and there may be a ton of them out there but.,,,,,,, I could set a bevel with it and then refine the edge to get a real nice shave :<0)
Escher, any color
Hi there,
To me "holy grail stone" means it is something precious and extraordinary for which you have to go on a quest to acquire it :D.
In my case I there are three holy grails, one from Germany, one from Japan and one from Belgium:
1) A comfortably sized labelled Escher
2) A Nakayama Maruka
3) A large unblemished Coticule
Well, after many years of searching, my quest is over :w :
9 x 2" Escher in original box:

Nakayama Maruka (13.5 x 8 x 2.5 cm):

i'd really love to have the king size version of this nakayama kiita. it's an incredibly smooth finisher and a pure joy to use.
