Choose wisely....I got one, it's called Norton 4/8 . I may not get polished to 40k, and there may be a ton of them out there but.,,,,,,, I could set a bevel with it and then refine the edge to get a real nice shave :<0)

How true, if you can't get a shave ready edge off the 8k, going any further is just a waste of stone and time (hey, what a great name for a novel!?!). Went down that road many times till I learned that and still make that mistake more frequently than I'd like....Quote:
