I know its been asked of razors and maybe hones. What is the one stone you would want over any other? I am kind of going through a little HAD right now. For me the stranger and older the better. Thanks.

Natural coticule/la lorraine in about 8x3.
Or one of the really pretty coticule hybrids. I'm always a little envious of these rocks.

I have many stones but I kinda want a Shoubudani Asagi maybe in a few months.
The one that imparts the keenest, and smoothest edge ... every time!
Any capable natural hone that I've used for a couple of years to really learn how to get the most out of it.
Because a good vintage linen really keeps the edge of a razor nice. I just need a stone to keep the bevel trimmed back to keep that edge from getting too fat.
Vintage Welsh or Scottish hones are high on my list as I've had vintage ones
My 'holy grail' was the yellow/green escher, and I've got one. Next I guess would be, in terms of value, (usefulness) the Suehiro Gokumyo 20k. OTOH, if you don't have at least a Norton 4/8, or the equivalent, those are just paperweights. :)
