Thanked: 202I do not want to undermine your plan but I have to ask the question, Are you sure that with the question you have posted that selling high quality razor hones is for you? Reason why I am asking is that on this level of specialty customers expect broad spectrum of knowledge and advice from vendors. It is not just about hones needs to be spotless. Sometimes users actually look for certain inclusions, veins and behaviour from hones and that is before you get a collector who can be even worse than any user. When we were in Ardenes we had quite big discussion about it with fellow collectors and users and consensus is that it can be a nightmare.
To answer your question those purple redish dots are not the inclusions.
As with the feedback it is natural stone and they do differ from each other as people using them. Some people like less feedback, some people like more, some people like crispy edge and some more mellow. It is horses for courses.
That is why it is recommended if it is possible to trial the hone before the purchase as sometimes the one which is not good looker can be the right hone for the person.

Thanked: 7I think I'm just going to stick with selling coticules, lol (or atleast sell BBW's unlapped and untested). Every BBW I've had has been consistent in feedback, texture and performance. Guess I got lucky. This one was a curve ball that I'm still learning to it. I have a coticule bout, that gave me fits (though it didn't have any texture/surface issues), but once I solved its puzzle, I get amazing edges off of. I'm having major gastric surgery tomorrow so I'm going to worry about all that later.

Best of luck with the surgery! Nothing better for recovery than relaxing and checking out SRP
