Default Do you know that this is

I bought this stone on ebay and had it shipped straight out of Germany and I'm not sure what it is. The seller said it might be a ordovician thuringian but as far as I can tell neither of us are completely sure. It has a dull pink slurry and is incredibly smooth and not a really hard stone( took 15 min to lap). The edge it leaves makes my escher look like a joke. [IMG]http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/

Wow! It is a beautiful stone. Unfortunately I can't help you with any info, but if it hones ok, additional information will be just a bonus.

It might be from another planet.
The part about making your Escher edges being a joke compared to the edges this hone leaves....what can that possibly mean?

When I tried it feels like a much smoother and cleaner edge than my escher gives me. It feels like a finer grit stone compared to my escher.

I can't imagine any stone making Escher/Thuri edges look like a joke, heh.

Perhaps you aren't getting your Escher honed edges to their full potential?

Possibly but mine has a pretty low grit for a escher. A nice shave by all means but not as good as the others I've tried

Do you know if they make any bigger sizes?
