Default Any HoneMeisters IN North Jersey? NYC?

Anyone willing to mentor in person? I'm in the North New Jersey Area. I will drive as far out as Pennsylvania.

I have three coticules, a worn out DMTC, a bbw, and soon to be arriving... soft ark, black ark, and "la lorraine" layer bbw. I'm really tired of buying hones. I thought about returning each one. I'm as lousy at honing as I am shaving with these edges. Please Help!

Congrats on your epiphany. More hones does not make you a better honer!

I'm probably being dramatic. But my bevels aren't quite right. Maybe I'm impatient? I've mashed so many blades thinking pressure was the way to go on a bevel setter... only to find myself with a cooked spine and a wide bevel... and no bevel set...

Your best investment would have been in a good quality 1k synthetic bevel setter. The best probably remains the Professional (former Chosera) Naniwa 1k. Other lower priced options are the Naniwa Traditional 1k and the Arashiyama 1k.

Pressure has its place and time. One on one help will sort it out for you. So will magnified observation and/or inking the edge.
