Yes, I'm familiar with Saint's John's wort (it's considered a pest here and the grasslands are full of it although it's one of the best medicinal plants nature has to offer). It isn't really homeopathic remedy, it does work with evidence supporting it. I'm using it for external wounds as an ointment; beeswax, oreganol, gotu kola and Saint's John's wort using diethyl ether for extraction (the blue colored with high concentration, not the weak red colored). I get cut very often, but as long as it's not on joints, I see them as something a bit more than an annoyance, and the above "concoction" works beautifully. For internal wounds on the other hand, applying it with isopropyl myristate is a bit of an overkill and I doubt it will work.

Due to the nature of your injury you may well need more than just one remedy but if you do some research you will find it is most definitely a homoepathic remedy & the lead remedy for nerve injuries to fingers. I once dropped a log on my big toe & Hypericum 200C relieved the pain in minutes.

I got my Diploma of Homoeopathy in 1988 & ran my own practice for 13 years . Retired now but you never forget the remedies that are lifesavers.
