    That is a great point, I would not buy a stone that expensive from eBay.

    I agree seems like a roll of the dice for that kind of money, but they probably figure it is cheaper and may get a better deal this way. Say the stone cost them 1K it may sell in a store for twice that. Sometimes the people buying these are also reselling to make money not use the stone or collect it.
