Running the edge on any corner of the stone works, where you are lightly rubbing the edge on the stone on a corner.

Here is a post on using the technique in the Advanced Honing Forum.
Hone a Straight Edge or to a Straight Edge.

    Dear OP

I copied the following from the "other thread" where you engaged Elucid.

Back to the drawer it goes for now, until someone can offer something.

    - - - I am somewhat amazed that 100 years ago, they were evidently able to get a shaving edge without the use of magnifiers. At least that is my assumption.

I'm going to play the "badass" here. My recommendation is to put the razor in the drawer or donate to SRP for a giveaway. The delightful hobby of straight razor shaving requires both enthusiasm and initiative to learn what you're doing. I'm not getting that from your posts. The internet and YouTube are filled information and videos to teach anyone willing to learn. Where's your initiative? The information provided by Elucid is good and sound, not to mention the effort to write it all out FOR YOU.

A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.
