    Default Noviculite ..... anybody got a big saw ?

    Just received this in the mail from Jon Coe. Now I have to find someone here in Minnesota with a saw capable of cutting this !

    Another option would be to look up a local Marble shop. You'll want it cut with a wet diamond blade. No tile setter will have a saw that big.
    Brick layers use big enough saws, but they use a dry diamond blade and the heat generated could crack the stone and create more waste.

    + on the lapidary people, they'll cut it wet and make sure you finish up with a great big hone. They might even be able to lap a side flat for you.

    I've got a brick saw with wet diamond blade that might cut it. How high/thick is the stone when it's sitting on the large stable side?

    There were two granite cutters in Minnetonka. They also did diamond polishing on counter tops.

    That's a good lace t start at a granite top maker, they have the tools to cut and lap. Tc
