Thread: PRC razors, wide 1/4" hollow bevels and a Shapton glass 1k

Hello gentleman! In the last year and a half I have invested heavily in PRC razors which I now have around 9 and all but one is 8/8. I then purchased stones (Shapton glass 1k, 4k, 8k, 16k the holder and diamond glass lapping plate) after the fact, I have been honing for a year or so.

I have honed other razors edges successfully but when it comes to my PRC razors it takes much more time, the Shapton glass 1k clogs up and I have to re lap it to get some fresh grit to abrade the edge to bevel set.

From those of you who have honed Portland razor co razors or other full bodied 1/4" razors would you advise I purchase a chosera 1k or another type of bevel setter??? I can spend 30 mins to an hour getting one of their razors to cut arm hair at bevel set......Thank you all....

I have not re set the bevel on all of them...just one newer version 6/8" I have been working on...
